Tower Adventurer Vs Adventurer 2 SUP

Some of the best and most popular paddle boards currently are the tower inflatable stand up paddle boards. This is both the tower adventurer and the tower adventurer 2.

Even with this there is a difference between the two, well apart from the obvious one that the tower adventurer 2 came after the tower adventure. To be precise it was introduced in the market in 2015.

How they Compare:

Some of the differences are such as;

1. Length

Tower adventure 2 is a bit longer than the tower adventure. It measures 10’4” in length and 32” in width providing sufficient stability for the user. Apart from this it has 6” thickness which helps in floating. This ensures the customer is provided with the best time while surfing with it. This is an improvement from the tower adventure which is 9’10”

2. Performance

Well with ever invention the seller seeks to make it better than the previous one. This is still the case with the adventurer series boards. The tower adventurer 2 board is an improvement of the tower adventure. With an improvement of the features, there is a definite improvement in the performance. It is made to increase floating abilities and increase the stability of the board when surfing. With a pointed nose, there is increased performance in waves

It is however not made for people with a knack for extreme sporting. This is perfect if you keep the waves at a 3-4 height. However, it is durable.

For beginners or larger riders both are great boards and are very stable, for more advanced paddle boarders this is very robust and therefore affects performance, with that in mind other boards maybe better.

3. Accessories

Unlike the tower adventurer, the tower adventurer 2 comes with bungee cord. This helps in securing your gear on the board when surfing providing the security you need. Apart from this it also has d-rings which can be used to install a kayak seat on the paddle board.

4. Handles on the board

The Adventurer 2 has 3 handles which are two more handles than the adventurer board has. The adventurer 2 has handles at the head, tail and the center while the adventurer board has only one handle at the center. This makes it easier to carry the adventurer 2 than it is to carry the adventurer.

Even with these differences there are some things that have remained constant in both adventurer boards.

These are up and including the prices of the two boards. The boards have no difference in the market. There is usually a fluctuation of the two boards’ prices from day to day but the difference is not a notable difference.

The weight of the boards is also another factor that has remained constant. The boards weight 180lbs. (about 180kg). Because of this they are very rigid and feel just like a hard board when inflated. This weight makes them perfect boards and good for floating hence they are good for the water.

With both boards being inflatable, this makes them easy to carry and store unlike the other hard boards.

5. In the box

Which ever you choose both come with the same parts and features in the box, they both come packaged with:

  • 3-PC fiberglass paddle
  • High-pressure hand pump with gauge
  • High-end diamond grooved deck pad
  • Removable center fin
  • Roll up carrying strap

Which to Buy?

These two boards are different and similar in many ways. However, they also fit different people in different ways.

Both are solid boards, depending on your weight the Tower Adventurer 2 has a max load of 350 lbs which is more the the original. For a stable board they are both great and there isn’t much in them, it comes down to your preference, you and how you will be using it.
